Canadian Tourism Commission

JohnHenry were commissioned by Publicis Blueprint on behalf of the Canadian Tourism Commission to produce two microsites (in English and in German) as the reception area for users arriving from press ads, radio, television, iTV, direct mail etc.

JH Solution
- plan and designed a website to display all required content and advertiser information
- issue a different URL for each different marketing channel e.g. press, radio
- program a URL tracking system to keep track of the exact URL which a user arrives on
- track user activity on the site and cross-reference this with the URL which a user arrives on
- create a statistics page giving Publicis and CTC exact details of the relative successes of over 100 different URLs
- use this data to monitor cost of acquisition for every marketing medium
