JohnHenry were asked to produce an email newsletter which would be sent to all the members informing them of upcoming events.
JH Solution
An email template was designed and programmed. This allows for the following features:
- The email is personalised
- It can be sent as html or text depending on each recipient's preferences
- It is designed to work in numerous different email packages from Outlook to Hotmail to simple text
- The email is small in size so that it can be read quickly and includes links to additional information
- Unsubscribe and text only options are included
- The email and any resulting links are tracked to give a detailed breakdown of how many were sent, who read the email and which links they followed
- The design is template based allowing subsequent mails to be sent easily with new content but a consistent design
Following the first mail sent in September there was an immediate reponse from the membership to book a number of the events for Fashion week, some of which were completely sold out as a result.
