As JohnHenry’s technical director, Giuseppe gives particular importance to software quality, team cohesion and long term vision. When not at work you may find him swimming in one of the many lidos in London or riding the countryside with his motorbike or eating out with friends. Giuseppe is currently learning Japanese.

Matt is the Technical Team Lead, a senior developer, and the longest serving employee apart from John himself. He joined JohnHenry in September 1999, and was very pleased to find that he’d landed the job he’d wanted to do throughout his time at university. That hasn’t changed. Since then he’s learned a huge amount about practical programming and the web, fallen in love with ECMAScript despite its idiosyncrasies, developed a burning hatred of Internet Explorer 6 (upon which Microsoft have poured the cooling balm of IE9), and found Firefox and its addon system to be an essential tool in work and play. Off the clock, Matt does some recreational web development, spends a fair amount of time playing games online, and enjoys hiking, badminton and skiing. He’s also a massive geek, and thus likes board games and Star Wars; the Lego TIE Fighter in the office is his.

Favourite memory at JohnHenry? Either £10 steins of beer at a cafe facing Notre Dame in Paris on a christmas jolly, or trying to barbecue in some of the worst rain/floods London has had in the last 20 years, or doing the gangster photoshoot.
Favourite project? Either the Tesco online shopping CD because it was the first thing we did which my parents saw independently (they had one delivered to them without knowing we’d made it), or Freesat because of the new programming style and plenty of learning opportunities.
Adam studied Geology at University but found that his lack of large amounts of facial hair prevented a further career. Getting caught up in the .com boom at the beginning of the century, he failed to make a fortune but managed to build a successful career in web development. He joined JohnHenry in 2006, initially because the office was round the corner to his flat, but after falling in love with the company, has never moved on. He divides his time between the office in London and his home in Minehead, Somerset. Adam has also studied the martial arts for many years, taking a sabbatical from work in 2008 to live in Malaysia for three months and study full time. While there, he enjoyed many cultrual delights, had rocks thrown at him and walked through fire. He’s also a qualified yoga teacher and ties himself in uncomfortable positions in his spare time, just for fun.

Enter the Obsidian Gates, defeat the WraithWolves and travel down the gently curling, spiraling, gossamer-stranded corridors of the Ethereal Pass. There is one door that glows a blinding azure; through this door is a forest bundle of shifting cables and wires, electrical sparks, slow humming and thrumming of the Deep Music. I’m the fourth desk on the left. Next to Cari
